Before stepping into the court, you as a creditor need to validate the availability of the following details with you to substantiate your case in front of the court:



  • Your interactions with the debtor needs to be recorded to ensure that the points you are going to bring up in the court to support your claim are properly documented. Maintain a journal of your interactions with the debtor.


  • Record of all the documentations, receipts and any other documents relating to the debt should be arranged and maintained according to instances for easy reference and substantiation of your claim.   • The last known address of the debtor (the present address in almost all cases) is a key detail to have before approaching the court.
